    "We are SO HAPPY with our new home!"

    At the beginning of this review process, it asks "How likely are you to recommend Colin Gage?" I thought to myself, "I already have! So many times!" I don't have enough good things to say about our experience with Colin. My wife and I got in touch with him to find our first home.We were moving from Ypsilanti to Grand Rapids, and Colin was amazing to work with through the entire process! We brought some of our own online listings to the table, since we didn't really know exactly what to expect, they were often not awesome, but Colin never put us down for strange choices in properties to look at, and steered us well toward our goals and preferences. He very much came alongside us to help educate us during every step of the process. He set up appointments almost immediately, working with us via texts, phone calls, and emails to find good times—even setting up our first three showings on a holiday when we were already going to be in town—a huge help for a family with a toddler and an infant to drive across the state! I've never worked with anyone more responsive. He communicated super quickly with both my wife and I, sellers, and other realtors throughout the process—both during and far after normal business hours (which was awesome for two working parents). This made it extremely easy to find great options. Colin also worked really swiftly within our relatively short search timeframe. Here's the breakdown: + Oct. 1 - our apartment lease was up + July 1-ish - started the process with Colin + July 4th - first three viewings + July 5–10 - looked at ~20 houses and put in offers on two + July 11 - offer accepted! Throughout the closing he explained the process and paperwork (which was all handled online) in very efficient and understandable terms. He negotiated a 1-year home warranty for us, and lined up awesome inspectors to work with. To sum up, working with Colin was amazing—we never felt pushed into anything and he bent over backwards to communicate with and educate us in a short amount of time—always working hard to accommodate our preferences. We are SO HAPPY with our new home!

    Colin has a plethora of knowledge about the Grand Rapids market and is passionate about real estate. While the buying process can seem intimidating, daunting and complex, Colin helped to simplify that along the way. Colin achieved this be being highly communicative and informative. As a home buyer,it is important to feel educated and aware. Legal documents were explained, information and insight were provided at each checkpoint of the process, and questions were answered promptly. Colin is personable, patient, and puts forth the extra mile in achieving customer satisfaction. Colin worked diligently to find listings within my criteria. He also made himself available to numerous showings. As a first-time home buyer during the buyers-market, I walked through about 70 houses before acquiring mine. During this process that lasted several months, I never once felt pressured to make any hasty decisions. It truly felt like Colin was in my corner. Lastly, Colin has impeccable follow through and negotiation skills. After inspections took place, there was a discovery of some faulty electrical wiring. He was successful in going after my requests to have the electric re-wired before closing. In the final stages before closing, Colin also carefully reviewed the legal documents sent over by the lender and found some errors. These errors were addressed in my favor before closing. A few days later, the closing process was seamless and went smoothly. Months later, I am still a happy home owner and could not have asked for a better realtor. I highly recommend Colin Gage for all your real estate needs.
